We’re constantly evolving, and we’re excited to share the progress we’ve made over the past month! From new features like Trace Pipeline Exclusion to enhanced AWS integrations, APM improvements, and performance upgrades across the board—here’s everything that’s new:
🚀 New Product Features
🔗 Expanded AWS Integrations
We’ve broadened our AWS ecosystem support by introducing integrations with AWS MQ and AWS Amplify.
Each integration includes:
- Prebuilt default dashboards with key metrics
- Health and availability tracking for real-time monitoring
These additions help you visualize key metrics and monitor service health more effectively.
🧩 Node.js APM Enhancements
We’ve made significant upgrades to our Node.js Application Performance Monitoring (APM):
- Code-Level Stack Traces: Gain deeper insights with detailed code-level stack traces. Pinpoint exactly where things are going wrong in your code.
- Automatic VCS Metadata Support: Debugging is now even more contextual with version control metadata like commit hash, branch name, and file references automatically included.
🧵 Trace Pipeline Exclusion
You now have more control over the trace data you collect. With the new Trace Pipeline Exclusion feature, you can exclude specific services from being included in trace collection.
This helps reduce noise and control data volume. Configure it under Settings → Pipeline → Traces.
🛠 Improvements & Enhancements
⚡ Improved Synthetic Monitoring
Our synthetic monitoring engine has been refactored and upgraded to provide better stability and faster checks.
⌛ Optimized APM Historical Data Loading
We’ve rebuilt parts of our APM data infrastructure to reduce load times for historical data significantly.
Even for large time ranges, data now loads in just a few seconds
📹 RUM (Real User Monitoring) – Better Session Playback
We’ve introduced a new video player for mobile session replays. It’s lighter, faster, and designed for smoother playback, so you can quickly understand user interactions and issues in real time.
☸️ Kubernetes Agent Optimization
Our Kubernetes agent just got smarter:
- The config updater has been migrated from a CronJob to a Deployment
- This reduces the creation of temporary pods, helping to optimize cluster resource usage and resulting in smoother operations and fewer disruptions.
🖥️ Host Agent Upgrades
- We’ve added native support for MariaDB monitoring, enabling you to effortlessly track database health, performance metrics, and query efficiency.
- Plus, the infrastructure host detail page has been expanded to include:
- Available integrations
- Detailed platform information (kernel version, processor specs)
- Network interfaces (IP, IPv6, MAC address)
🎨 User Experience (UX) Enhancements
📊 Custom Dashboard Improvements
Building dashboards just got easier and more flexible:
- Added the ability to enable/disable individual queries.
- Add functions directly inside formulas, with support for alias names and custom units, making dashboards more readable and easier to interpret.
🧾 Log Properties View Upgrade
- In the expanded log view, you can now add attributes as columns via the gear icon, making log analysis more flexible and tailored to your needs.
🚨 Alerting & Monitoring Improvements
🧠 Smarter Alert Configuration
Creating and managing alerts is now more intuitive and powerful:
- Category-Based Metric Selection: Start by selecting a category to filter and view only relevant metrics, making alert creation faster and easier.
- Extended Evaluation Windows: Configure alerts with evaluation windows of up to 7 days—ideal for detecting trends and rare anomalies.
- Granular Rule Editing: Edit individual alert rules independently for more control.
🛑 Enhanced Maintenance Mode
- Now you can configure maintenance windows based on:
- Alert tags
- Alert types
- Or even specific alerts
- During this window, notifications will be automatically silenced for the selected alerts, reducing noise and avoiding false alarms.
